Investment and Marketing GmbH (IMG) (Investment and Marketing Association Sachsen-Anhalt mbH) is the business development association of Saxony-Anhalt. On behalf of the Ministry of Science and Industry, they market the commercial and scientific significance of Saxony-Anhalt, and also handle tourism marketing at home and abroad.
Seven towns that are cultural lighthouses in central Germany have joined in a tourism cooperation effort called “City jumps: towns between Harz and Elbe”. Besides Halberstadt, Halle (“Handel City”), Magdeburg (“Otto City”), Naumburg, and Wernigerode, this also includes the two UNESCO World Heritage towns of Dessau-Roßlau and Quedlinburg.

The local association called Citygemeinschaft Halle e.V. is an amalgamation of many stakeholders in the downtown area who continually work on the improvement of accessibility to the town center and the expansion of customer services in the city of Halle. They also plan major events such as the Easter Market and the Festival of Lights, as well as organize downtown shopping sundays.
