The Bergschenke in Halle-Kröllwitz is a traditional venue, that has a natural beauty and rural appeal. It offers a breathtaking view of Giebichenstein castle and the Saale valley and is a popular destination for outings in the area.
The State Museum of Prehistory is one of the most significant archaeological museums in Europe. Among many other rare and exceptional pieces, it features the world famous “Nebra Sky Disk” (1600 B.C.); the oldest concrete depiction of the sky celebrated by man.
For over 200 years the restaurant "Krug zum Grunen Kranze" has been well known and traditional German guest house. It is located directly on the River Saale with picturesque views of the Giebichenstein Castle and the Halleschen Bergzoo. Their beer garden with old chestnut trees couldn't be more inviting, especially on warm summer night.
Just 15 km west of Halle lies a hotel that was built as a castle in the "Grunderzeit" (economic phase) of the late 19th century and is surrounded by an 18-hectare castle park with a pond and a neoclassical pavilion.
