Franckesche Stiftungen (Francke Foundations)

The Francke Foundations are a lively cultural and scientific institution that is seen in very high regard across Europe. Among other things, it contains an impressive Chamber of Art and Natural History and as well as an extensive historic library. The Brau- und Backhaus (House of Brewing and Baking) shines a light on some aspects of daily life, back in the 18th century. One of the historic buildings here is considered to be the longest half-timbered house in Europe.
