The Halle City Museum invites you to actively experience the local history in their exhibition – from the beginnings of the City's settlement to the ideas and products that made this town so well-known outside of regional borders. Another permanent exhibition is dedicated to Halle during the 'Enlightenment' period of its history. Also, there are various alternating themed exhibitions available to visitors to enjoy.
The core of the museum complex consists of a group of buildings in the Große Märkerstraße 10 with the Christian-Wolff-Haus, the Gallerieanbau as a connecting building, and the printing shop in the courtyard.
